 | Kimberly Etzel A recent graduate of Georgia Tech (BS, Biology), Kimberly joined the Histology lab in March. An avid basketball fan, she's already feeling at home in the Triangle area and--one hopes--learning to wear the appropriate shade of blue. |
 | Carie Facemire, PhD Our graduates can't stay away! Carie earned her PhD in Cell and Molecular Physiology here in 2005. Dr. William Arendshorst was her mentor and she has returned to the Arendshorst lab as a Research Instructor. She spent the last few years as a postdoc at Duke in the lab of Tom Coffman, MD, in the division of nephrology, department of medicine.

 | Jennifer Lucitti, PhD Jennifer joined the department on March 1, 2009. She earned her PhD in Biology from New Mexico State University and completed her postdoctoral training in the Department of Molecular Physiology & Biophysics at Baylor College of Medicine. She will be investigating collatoral vessel development with the Faber lab.

 | James Minchin, PhD A native of Bath, England, James earned his doctorate in Developmental Biology at Kings College, London. As a postdoctoral trainee in the Rawls lab, he will study adipocyte lineage development in zebrafish. |
 | Sarah Street, PhD Another department graduate returns! Sarah completed her PhD in the Manis lab in 2007. She recently returned to NC from the Boston area and has joined the Zylka lab. |
 | Laurianne Van Landeghem, PhD Laurianne completed her degree in February 2009 at the University of Nantes, France, in the lab of Inserm U913 (Neuropathies of the enteric nervous system and digestive pathologies). She'll be working with the Lund lab on several projects including investigation of the IGF receptor pathway. |
