Carolinas Medical Center
Carolinas Medical Center is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, a city of over 500,000 people. A facility of 843 beds, it serves as the principle hospital of Charlotte. It is a part of the AHEC (Area Health Education Centers) system, which provides medical education in medical facilities throughout the Carolinas. CMC supports a number of independent residencies including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Medicine. Plastic Surgery residents spend 3 months of each year of training at CMC.
