The newest additions to the UNC Plastic Surgery residency program are Dr. Amita Shah and and Dr. Patrick Mannal.

Saif Al-Bustani, MD, DMD

Dr Al-Bustani attended medical school at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. He went on to complete an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program there, graduating in 2011. He joins the UNC Plastic Surgery program in July 2012 after completing two years of General Surgery residency at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR.

Jonathan Friedstat, MD

Dr Friedstat attended medical school at the University of Illinois and completed his General Surgery residency training at the University of Washington, Seattle, graduating in 2011. He spent the following year as a Burn and Critical Care Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA before becoming a UNC Plastic Surgery PGY-6 resident in July 2012.
