Thank you for your interest in the IBMS program. We are pleased to announce that UNC has implemented a new program for entering into biomedical graduate studies at UNC called the Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program (BBSP). This program will act as a common "portal" by which all entering graduate students interested in entering any of the 12 biomedical graduate programs will begin their first year. The application/admission process for this coming year will be done entirely through this portal for students with interest in any of these programs. Because this new umbrella program will essentially replace the IBMS program as a means for students with broad interdisciplinary research interests, applications to the IBMS program will no longer be considered for this coming year's admission process. Instead we encourage you to apply through the BBSP program. A description of the new program can be found here:
