As part of the top-ranked UNC School of Medicine, the Center is well-positioned to provide community training and technical assistance for mental health care professionals through out the state.

Medical Directors' Network

The Center was engaged early with policy makers as the state developed a new model for mental health care, Clinical Access Behavioral Health Care Agencies (CABHAS) in 2010. Partnering with North Carolina Area Health Education Centers (NC AHEC), the Center  developed the Medical Directors' Network to provide support and training for medical directors who head the new model.

UNC Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Technical Assistance Center

In partnership with the NC Division of Mental Health and Substances Abuse, Developmental Disabilities, and Substances Abuse Services, the Center has developed a  program that provides training and technical assistance for ACT Teams around the state.
