Biography

Rachel grew up in a family full of medical professionals and teachers, believing in the importance of an open conversation between doctor and patient. She stayed close to her hometown in North Carolina, graduating from UNC-CH in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics with extensive course work in Asian studies before spending a semester in Delhi and Jaipur, India. She is knowledgeable of French, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, and Latin, while her interests include research with immigrants and how their experiences affect their mental health. Since graduation she has worked both for the University of North Carolina and the Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross. An avid fan of patterns and organizational systems, she has been the Administrative Coordinator since early 2008.
