CERT-BD Treatment Programs

Our weekly clinics are staffed by specialist physicians who treat people with Bipolar Disorder. We take your complete medical and mental health history, ask you to complete questionnaires, take blood samples if needed, and schedule special laboratory tests as required.  After a diagnosis is made, our staff will discuss the different treatment options available, including medication, individual psychotherapy, family counseling or education, and/or inpatient care options.  Both pediatric and adult care options are available.

Additional services are also available through UNC's Finley Clinic (including educational assessment for learning disabilities and giftedness placement, as well as child and family psychotherapy [see below]).  All your questions will be answered.  We offer follow-up appointments for medication management and counseling.  In many cases, your care can be continued closer to your home.

Referrals:  Patients can refer themselves or be referred from providers at UNC or in the community.  To make a referral for patient treatment or for more information call 919-966-3915.
