Education:

M.D., Brown University

Residency in General Psychiatry, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill 

 

Summary Statement:

Dr. Gala was born and raised in upstate new York.  After completing training in General Surgery, he practiced in rural North Carolina for a number of years.  He subsequently completed a General Psychiatry Residency at UNC and in 2007 became the Acting Director for the Consult Liaison service. He is now pursuing additional training in philosophy of mind as part of a scholarly project concerning the relationship between psychiatry and philosophy.
