Summary Statement:

Dr. Nicholas is the Chief of the Adult Division of the Department of Psychiatry, Director of Outpatient Clinics and Medical Director of the Adult Diagnostic and treatment Clinic and the Crisis Emergency Service. Her research interest is the study of mood and anxiety disorders. She is the Department of Psychiatry Site Director for the NIH-funded multicenter study, “Sequenced Treatment Alternatives to Relieve Depression” (Star*D) and is Principal Investigator for “The College Screening Project: a Program to Identify and Help College Students with Significant Psychological Problems”, a multi-center study funded by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
