Summary Statement:

Dr. Cox is the Director of Training for Division TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-handicapped CHildren) at UNC-Chapel Hill.  He is a national and international trainer in intervention methods for clients with autism and related disorders.  He has developed numerous training models for professionals in the field.  His training models play a key role in the dissemination of the methods developed by TEACCH.  He has played a pivotal role in a number of key sites that have adopted the intervention ideas from the TEACCH program and has led similar efforts in Mississippi, Illinois, Southern California, Ireland, and for the NYC Board of Education.
