As Clinical Director of the Wilmington TEACCH Center, Dr. Wellman’s primary responsibility is providing and supervising clinic activities that include diagnostic evaluations, consultation to schools and community agencies, consultation and training for families, training for teachers, adult supported employment, and direct services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Other responsibilities include liaison activities with regional school administrations, local interagency councils, community physicians, and other community mental health service providers. She has administrative responsibility for the daily operation of this regional clinic serving 8 counties.
