Dr. Mac Neil is a licensed clinical psychologist with the inpatient and outpatient eating disorders programs. His clinical role includes providing individual, group, and family based treatment. Prior to joining the UNC team, Dr. Mac Neil was a staff psychologist with the Adolescent Medicine and Pediatric Eating Disorders program at McMaster Children’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor (Part Time) with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at McMaster University. Dr. Mac Neil’s research interests are in the areas group therapy, body image, and gender differences in eating disorders. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Academy for Eating Disorders.
