Susan Kleiman, BSFS

Susan Kleiman is a doctoral student in the Department of Nutrition in the Gillings School of Global Public Health. She received her BSFS in International Economics from Georgetown University in 2005, where she focused on economic development and Southeast Asian studies, before spending four years in the global banking industry, including a two-year assignment in Vietnam. Prior to beginning her graduate studies, she worked as a Research Associate at Cincinnati Children's Hospital investigating nutrition and physical activity in preschool-aged children attending full-time daycare. Susan's primary research interests include refeeding protocols for patients with anorexia nervosa, as well as changes in gut microbiota and related metabolites during the refeeding process.
