Summary Statement:

Dr. Raney is a clinical psychologist with the partial hospitalization and outpatient eating disorders programs. Prior to joining the UNC team in 2005, he was the Director of the Eating Disorders program at University of Arkansas for Medical Services, Department of Pediatrics. He is a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders and the Society of Adolescent Medicine.

Dr. Thomas J. Raney received the 2011-2012 Judy T. Konanc Excellence in Teaching Award. The Judy T. Konanc Award is presented annually by the psychology interns to a faculty member who demonstrates recognition of the unique professional development needs of each intern, exemplary teaching that leads to growth in skills and knowledge in the practice of clinical psychology, a model of respect for clients, and the highest regard for ethical standards.
