For 2013's NEDAwareness week, the UNC Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (CEED) partnered with Panhellenic Council, Campus Recreation, Counseling and Wellness Services, Embody Carolina, and Campus Dining Services to put together an excellent array of events. Events included a “Celebrate your body” hip hop class with Joseph Nontanovan, fundraising benefits to raise money for eating disorders research and outreach, and the launch of Embody Carolina. Embody Carolina is the first peer lead training program to teach UNC students how to identify and effectively support those struggling with eating disorders on campus. We especially thank Drs. Cristin Runfola and , and Ms. Lauren Janson for their significant role in organizing these successful events.
