Maternal Substance Use Study
Help us learn more about the effects of legal and illegal substances used during pregnancy on natural hormones, brain function and mother-baby relationships. Participants earn up to $100 for completing this study. For more information, call 919-966-2549, or email motherbabylab@unc.edu.
Baby Brain Development Research Study
This research study will help us determine the effects of cigarette smoke on Baby Brain Development. We are currently enrolling pregnant women and new moms who smoked at any time during pregnancy, or lived with a smoker at any time during pregnancy. Participating in the study will take about five hours over the course of 3 visits to our UNC offices. Moms will earn up to $175 for their time.
LOVE Study
This research study is enrolling PREGNANT FIRST-TIME MOMS who plan to formula feed their babies to determine how infant feeding affects weight gain, inflammation and cardiovascular activity during the first postpartum year. Moms will visit us at 34-38 weeks of pregnancy, and once at each of the postpartum months 2, 6 and 12. Participants can earn up to $565 for full participation.
