Mission: To aid radiology faculty in the responsible conduct of clinical and translational research in a manner that is ethical and consistent with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

The Clinical Research Support Team within the Department of Radiology is under the leadership of Interim Medical Director J. Keith Smith, MD, PhD, and interim Administrative Director Desma Jones. We provide a number of services for our faculty, including the following:

• Clinical trial coordination and management
• IRB submission support
• IND/IDE preparation assistance
• Assistance with research protocol development
• Patient recruitment and consent
• CRF completion
• Management of research study data
• Search health records
• Nursing Support
• PA Support
• QA Reviews/Monitoring

Radiology Core Research Services also provides additional support to departments for response criteria assessment, special imaging reads for research studies, and image deidentification and transmittal.
