Dr. Kuzmiak was appointed Section Chief of the Breast Imaging section in 2005. The recipient of numerous honors, her research interests include the interpretation and diagnostic analysis of digital mammograms, a comparison of full-field mammography and film-screen mammography and their diagnostic accuracy, and the study of Rosai-Dorfman disease. She is a member of the America Roentgen Ray Society, the Association for Women Radiologists, the American Medical Women’s Association, the American Medical Association, the American College of Radiology and the Society of Breast Imaging, among others. Dr. Kuzmiak co-authored the book Proceedings of the IWDM 2004 on digital mammography, with her colleagues Etta Pisano and Martin Yaffe, and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals.
