Dr. Stavas is the Chief of Vascular and Interventional Section in the Radiology Department. He has subspecialty board certification in Interventional and Pediatric Radiology. Areas of clinical and research interest include business plan strategies for radiology departments, vascular malformation treatment, and renal, liver and arterial interventions. He is past president of the Nebraska State Radiological society and a Fellow of the American College of Radiology. Prior academic appointments have been at Creighton University Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska, and Duke University Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina. Prior to entering academic radiology, Dr. Stavas was in private practice.
