Education

Dr. Fordham is Division Chief of Pediatric Imaging at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Her areas of research include imaging in pediatric Cystic Fibrosis, imaging in pediatric Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, respiratory damage in children exposed to urban pollution, reduction of radiation in pediatric fluoroscopy and CT and in the radiologic manifestations of pediatric diseases in general. She is a member of the American Association of Women in Radiology, the American College of Radiology, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Radiologic Society of North America, the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound and the Society for Pediatric Radiology, among others. She serves as a reviewer for several journals and works on a variety of committees. She is currently serving as President of the American Association for Women Radiologists and Chair of the Ultrasound committee for the Society for Pediatric Radiology.
