Residents Joe Caster, MD and Kyle Wang, MD participated

The Third Annual George F. Shelton Resident Research Symposium was held on May 18, 2016, and two of our radiation oncology residents participated, Drs. Joe Caster and Kyle Wang.

Out of more than 50 abstracts submitted by residents from 20 UNC departments, Dr. Caster’s presentation entitled “Optimization of polymeric nanoparticles for use in chemoradiotherapy” and Dr. Wang’s presentation entitled “Cardiac toxicity after radiation for Stage III non-small cell lung cancer: Pooled analysis of several prospective dose-escalation trials delivering 70-90 Gy” were selected as two of only three submissions for oral presentation in the clinical sciences category.

Well done, gentlemen!

Joe Caster (2013) Kyle Wang (2014)
