BONE BIOLOGY & DISEASES

Many of the investigators involved in this research area are based or have a joint appointment in the UNC/NCSU Biomedical Engineering department. NCSU investigators are also located in the Center for Comparative Medicine and Translational Research (CCMTR) in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Investigators include: Al Banes, Ted Bateman, Matt Fisher, Duncan Lascelles, Elizabeth Loboa, Denis Marcellin-Little, Jorge Piedrahita, Simon Roe, Janet Rubin, Lauren Schnabel, Anna Spagnoli.

CARDIAC BIOLOGY & DISEASES

These investigators represent multiple departments and centers from both NCSU and UNC. The majority of UNC investigators are members of the McAllister Heart Institute. NCSU investigators are primarily faculty in the CCMTR in the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Clinical Sciences department. Investigators include: Ke Cheng, Teresa DeFrancesco, Andrew Dudley, Bruce Keene, Jiandong Liu, Steve Marks, Li Qian.

GASTROINTESTINAL BIOLOGY & DISEASES

These investigator represent multiple departments and centers from both NCSU and UNC. The majority of UNC investigators are members of the Center for Gastrointestinal Biology & Disease. NCSU investigators are primarily from the CCMTR in the College of Veterinary Medicine, multiple departments. LUNG BIOLOGY & DISEASES

These investigators represent multiple departments and centers from both NCSU and UNC. UNC faculty are members of the UNC Neuroscience Center and the Neurodevelopmental Disorders Research Center. RENAL BIOLOGY & DISEASES
