Physicians currently in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program (RWJF CSP) are offered two years of graduate-level study and research, as part of a university-based, post-residency training program. They are expected to complete graduate-level research projects in their priority areas. The final cohort of Clinical Scholars began their appointments on July 1, 2015 and will conclude June 30, 2017.
The new National Clinician Scholars Program (NCSP) is an independent consortium building on the successful, two-year site-based training RWJF CSP model, while expanding the program to include nurse scientists in addition to physicians. The first cohort of the NCSP begins their appointments on July 1, 2016 and will conclude June 30, 2018.
