SHAC's Dental Clinic helps provide the oral healthcare needs of those in Orange County whom can not afford care elsewhere. Services include screenings, cleanings, restorative procedures and extractions. The clinic also offers restorative and emergency care. Founded in the early 1970s, SHAC dental clinic is the oldest student run dental clinic in the state and one of the oldest in the United States. Under the supervision of third-year students from the UNC School of Dentistry, one of the foremost schools in the country, the young dentists of tomorrow learn valuable hands-on experience while improving the oral and systemic health of Orange County.
The Dental Clinic is provided on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6pm-9pm. Screenings and operative treatments are provided both days, while cleanings are conducted on Tuesdays and extractions are conducted on Wednesdays. Specific dates will be posted shortly.
The clinic is located at the Orange County Health Department's Dental Clinic on the 2nd floor of Carr Mill Mall in Carrboro.
