The Student Interest Group in Neurology (SIGN) program is a network of more than 150 chapters in medical schools across the United States and Canada. SIGN fosters medical student interest in neurology by providing opportunities to participate in clinical, research, and service activities in neurology, increasing the student's neurologic knowledge, and creating an interest in the American Academy of Neurology (AAN).
At UNC, SIGN membership is open to medical students and affords opportunities to: shadow neurologists and neurosurgeons; apply for SIGN scholarships; and meet students, residents, and faculty sharing your interests in neurology and the neurosciences. You will also be added to an email list notifying members of monthly lunchtime presentations and other events both on and off campus.
To join or request information email the current SIGN president Cintasha Frazier (firstname.lastname@example.org).
