Dr. Lawlor’s lecture will focus on findings from a longitudinal interdisciplinary urban ethnographic project called Boundary Crossings; Re-Situating Cultural Competence. The emphasis of the talk will be on bridging home life and institutional worlds, and the theoretical implications for addressing health disparities and facilitating effective collaborations in the moments of healthcare encounters.
Following the lecture, a reception will be held in the Occupational Sciences Model Apartment.
