Physician and photographer John Moses, MD will discuss how photography, audio and multimedia presentations can be used to enhance our understanding of a variety of healthcare issues. He will reflect on his own photodocumentary projects as well as how the tools of documentary can be used to enhance medical education.
Dr. Moses is a general pediatrician at Duke University Medical Center and teaches photography at Duke University's Center for Documentary Studies. For the last three years he has assisted Liisa Ogburn in directing the Documenting Medicine Program at Duke University.

The Trent Center Colloquium Series explores interdisciplinary topics in ethics and the social and cultural aspects of medicine. It is an opportunity for interested faculty, students, residents and fellows to both engage with current scholarship at Duke and, through informal, lively conversation, find avenues for collaborative exchange.
