This collection, with its allusions to mythology and tragic conundrums, demands intelligence and rewards the reader with Borgesian riches.” Barry Saunders Wins SCA PrizeBarry Saunders, associate professor of Social Medicine, clinical assistant professorof Medicine & Family Medicine and author of CT Suite: The Work of Diagnosis in the Age of Noninvasive Cutting, was just announced as the winner of the Gregory Bateson Prize from the Society for Cultural Anthropology (SCA). According to the SCA website, "[T]he Bateson Prize looks to reward work that is theoretically rich, ethnographically grounded, and in the spirit of the tradition for which the SCA has been known--interdisciplinary, experimental, and innovative."
