Orientation

On the first day of the Surgery Clerkship, there is an orientation beginning at 7:30 AM in the OR Classroom, located on the 2nd floor of the hospital. Students will be given their orientation packets at this point and will hear from Dr. Anthony Charles, the Clerkship Director,  Dr. Timothy Farrell, the Co-Clerkship Director, the Administrative Chief Residents, and Stacey Owen, the Clerkship Coordinator.

Students are also required to attend an OR Protocol Class on the first day of the clerkship. A "Suturing Principles" lecture and a Soft Tissue Course are also offered. You can find more information on these courses under Educational Activities.
