Rupp Garners Honors at ACS Clinical Congress for Sponge Study

October 11, 2010 - Dr. Christopher Rupp was recognized with a Scientific Exhibit of Exceptional Merit award for his poster submission at the 2010 Annual Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons.

The study, in which Dr. HJ Kim and Mary Jane Kagarise also participated, involved the use of surgical sponges embedded with radio frequency chips intended to reduce or eliminate the risk of retained sponges in surgical patients.
