Phillips and Coward Recieve 2010 Whitehead Awards

August 18, 2010 -- Dr. Michael Phillips, a PGY-2 General Surgery resident, and Dr. Matt Coward, a PGY-4 Urology resident, are the Surgery recipients of the 2010 Kaiser Permanente Excellence in Teaching Award. The awards were presented at the annual Whitehead Lecture and Awards Ceremony on August 18.

This award was created by the Class of 2000 to recognize those residents and interns who contribute in an exemplary way to the education of medical students with their enthusiasm for teaching, including students in patient care decisions, and promoting involvement of students in the medical team.
