Castle Connolly Names 'Top Regional Doctors'

June 17, 2011 -- Thirty UNC Health Care physicians, including eight from the Department of Surgery, have been recognized as "top regional doctors" by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.

Surgeons William Adamson, Keith Amos, Bruce Cairns, Benjamin Haithcock, Michael Mill, Raj Pruthi, Richard Sutherland, Eric Wallen, and William Marston, are among those regarded by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. to be in the top ten percent of physicians within their specialty in the southeast region. The criteria used in the selection of this peer-nominated distinction includes professional qualifications, education, fellowships, professional reputation, and experience.
