Welcome to the University of North Carolina's Pediatric and Craniofacial Plastic Surgery. Our team looks forward to providing world-class care for your children. We want to treat them as our very own.
We provide a full range of team-centered services for patients with clefts (including cleft lip and cleft palate repair, nasoalveolar molding (NAM), lip and nasal revisions, alveolar bone graft, orthognathic surgery, and rhinoplasty).
In addition, we care for children with skull shape problems, including positional plagiocephaly requiring treatment with helmets when appropriate, and surgery for both non-syndromic and syndromic craniosynostosis such as Apert, Pfeiffer, Crouzon, Saethre-Chotzen, Carpenter and Muenke syndromes.
We provide team-centered care for children with ear abnormalities, including anotia and microtia, cryptotia, cup ear, Stahl's ear, and prominent ears.
We work with dermatologists to assist in caring for children who have congenital nevi and other skin lesions requiring surgical excision. We partner with interventional radiologists to care for children with vascular abnormalities (including hemangiomas, lympthangiomas, ateriovenous malformations, and venous malformations).
We provide laser services for skin lesions, treatment of burns, and hair removal.
We also provide care for children with breast problems, including absent breast, Poland syndrome, and gynecomastia, as well as thoracic problems associated with Proteus syndrome and Jeune syndrome.
We look forward to assisting in the care of your children and developing a long-term relationship to meet the changing needs of your child.
