2012-2013 Michael Pharaon, MD

Dr. Pharaon originally graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a BS in Biochemistry & Cell Biology. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2004, and completed his general surgery residency in 2010, including a year as a research resident at the University of California- Irvine Department of Surgery and the Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery Institute. Dr Pharaon was a Plastic Surgery resident at the University of Virginia, graduating in June 0f 2012, and joined the UNC Division of Plastic Surgery in July as the 2012-2013 Craniofacial Fellow.

 

 

 

Omri Emodi

2011-2012 Omri Emodi, DMD

Dr. Emodi graduated from the Academic Center for Dental Medicine Amsterdam University in 1998 and joined the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at Rambam Medical Center, Haifa, Israel in 2002, where he is currently an attending surgeon in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He was Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2008.  Dr Emodi was the UNC Craniofacial Fellow from July 2011 through June 2012, and currently serves as a UNC Adjunct Faculty member in Plastic Surgery, returning to UNC periodically.

Christian Kauffman, MD

2010- 2011 Christian Kauffman, MD
Dr. Kauffman graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Premedicine and completed his medical degree at the University Of Michigan Medical School at Ann Arbor, MI. He joined the Division as a Fellow for the 2010-2011 year after graduating from University of Nevada School of Medicine in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Kauffman is now practicing plastic and cosmetic surgery at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.

Liau- new

2009-2010 James Liau, MD
Dr. Liau graduated from the University of California at Berkley with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and completed his medical degree at the University of Kentucky college of Medicine. Dr. Liau graduated from the University of Kentucky’s Plastic Surgery program in June 2009, and was the UNC Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Craniofacial Fellow from July 2009 to June 2010. He is presently Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky.
Saba- New
2008-2009 Sam Saba, MD
Dr. Saba received his BS in Biology from Carnegie-Mellon University and completed his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He was board certified in general surgery in 2009. Following his year as the UNC Craniofacial Fellow in 2008-2009, Dr Saba continued his Plastic Surgery residency at the University of California, San Diego. From July 2013 through June 2014, Dr. Saba will be at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, completing a fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery and Facial Reanimation.

2007-2008 Stephanie Beidler, MD
Dr Beidler was the first Fellow in our program upon its inauguration in 2007.
She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Psychology/ Neurosciences and received her medical degree at the University Of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 2002. Dr Beidler followed her 2002-2005 UNC General Surgery residency  as a NIH Trauma Research Fellow from 2005-2007, then was the UNC Craniofacial Fellow from 2007-2008. From 2008-2009 Dr Beidler was a Wound Care Research Fellow in the UNC Division of Vascular Surgery, then completed her Plastic Surgery residency in 2012. Dr. Beidler is presently in private practice at Premier Physicians in Midland, Texas.
