Resident Benefits 2012-2013

  • Residents will receive $500 per year discretionary spending on plastic surgery educational items only- camera, books, loupes, etc.
  • The Division will provide financial support for conferences at which residents have an oral presentation, including travel, lodging for two nights, and food (limit $50/day). The Division will lend 50% financial support to a resident attending a conference with a poster presentation.
  • The Division will cover a maximum of two supported conferences per year, per resident.
  • Additional conferences can be attended using vacation time and personal funds.
  • The Division will cover tuition for the annual Duke Flap Course in addition to the above. Residents are encouraged to attend this course early in their second year.
  • All Plastic Surgery residents will receive ASPS membership, including a subscription to the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
