Wolf and Daisy Losken Craniofacial Research Fellowship

The Wolf and Daisy Losken Craniofacial Research Fellowship was inaugurated in 2006 to celebrate the work of Dr. Wolfgang Losken, who was the UNC Division of Plastic Surgery Craniofacial Surgeon from 2000 to 2006. When Dr Losken retired from the Division, he was asked what he would like to be remembered for. His immediate response was "Research". This fellowship honors Dr. Losken and his wife, Daisy.

The Fellowship provides the opportunity for the Research Fellow to spend a year performing basic science research in Craniofacial Tissue Engineering. Our laboratory is interested in providing tissue engineered solutions for craniofacial bone and cartilage defects, as well as providing tissue engineered skin for complex wounds.
