UNC’s Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery proudly welcomes their new faculty member, Dr. Jeyhan Wood.

Dr. Wood specializes in pediatric plastic surgery, craniofacial surgery and adult and pediatric facial trauma. She completed her Craniofacial Fellowship at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill under the skillful guidance of Dr. John van Aalst. Prior to that, she graduated from the integrated plastic surgery residency program at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Wood is originally from North Texas and received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

Her specialties include all facets of pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery, including skin conditions, such as giant congenital nevi, cystic lesions and keloids, cleft lip, cleft palate, and complex facial clefts, craniofacial microsomia, congenital hand anomalies, congenital and acute facial paralysis, positional plagiocephaly, craniosynostosis, congenital ear abnormalities, vascular malformations, and gynecomastia. She also manages complex facial trauma, including fractures and soft tissue injury.
