Sheva Chervinskiy, DO
Second year fellow (2015)
I received my D.O. degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Thereafter, I completed my Pediatric Residency at Arkansas Children's Hospital. During residency, my clinical experiences inspired me to pursue further training in Allergy and Immunology. I was drawn to this field for several reasons. Primarily, I enjoyed being able to provide specialty care and improve quality of life for people in all stages of life. Also, A/I is field in which basic and clinical research are so well blended with our clinical practice. I am particularly interested in the area of Food Allergy and chose this program because of the excellent food allergy research. I was drawn to the welcoming and supportive environment that fosters all interests and am thrilled to spend the next year participating in the stimulating food allergy research currently being carried out here at UNC. I feel that this is an exciting area of research which will greatly contribute to the safety and quality of life for our patients with food allergies.
Currently, I'm considering pursuing a career in academic medicine in a clinician educator track. In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my family on the gorgeous North Carolina trails and having tea parties with my little girls (3y and 1y)!
