I received a bachelors in biology at the University of Michigan, my M.D. at The Ohio State University, and completed my internship and residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Inflammatory arthritis and vasculitis are areas of particular interest to me. Outside of medicine, I love reading, running, and cooking.
I chose medicine because I knew it would be challenging and interesting and I would have many different opportunities to find my niche. I think that most people strive to help others, if only indirectly through their careers. In medicine, helping others becomes a central focus, which aligns perfectly with my values.
My long term goal is to enjoy life and help others find happiness too. Medicine, particularly rheumatology, is helping me to realize this goal. I am a trained clinician, but I am also looking into clinical research to see if this may be an area of interest to me.
