Director’s address

Dear Friends,

Happy Holidays and welcome to our new digital version of Thurston Today. This format allows you to read short introductions to topics of interest in this email, click on the associated links, and then view the full article on our updated (and constantly evolving) website.

In this electronic issue of our newsletter, you will hear about:

  • Progress on our most recent NIH Multidisciplinary Clinical Research Center grant;
  • New scientific results presented in journals and at meetings, such as the American College of Rheumatology;
  • Recent honors, recognition and funding awards for our faculty.

We also highlight visitors and new faces in our Division and Center since the last newsletter and talk about recent events and fundraisers, as well as changes surrounding our Board of Advisers.

Finally, we say farewell and express our best wishes and gratitude to Lib Harriss, our long-time clinical administrative manager, who retires at the end of this year.

We hope you enjoy this new format, and please take the time to explore our website further once you’ve linked to it through the various articles and stories. You can contact us at any time to provide feedback on this new approach and how we can further improve upon it.

All of us at Thurston Arthritis Research Center and the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology wish you a safe and joyous holiday season, and best wishes for the coming year.
