Joanne M. Jordan, MD, MPH - Joseph P. Archie, Jr. Eminent Professor of Medicine
Dr. Jordan is the Director of the UNC Thurston Arthritis Research Center, Chief of the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology and Principal Investigator for the Johnston County Osteoarthritis Project (JoCo OA), an ongoing, epidemiological study of osteoarthritis (OA) in North Carolina focusing on disparities between African-Americans and Caucasians. The JoCo OA Project has collected extensive clinical, radiographic, behavioral, psychosocial and genetic data over the past twenty years, including data on individuals with and without knee, hip, hand and spine OA.
