Program Review by the Graduate School and Provost Office

The Curriculum in Toxicology training programs will be reviewed this year. A site visit by one internal and two outside reviewers is scheduled for November 5-7, 2008. A comprehensive self-study report is being prepared with input from faculty and trainees. It will be submitted to the Graduate School by the end of September and sent to the review team that includes the following scientists:
- Professor Robert Roth, Michigan State University (Chair)
- Professor Cheryl Walker, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
- Professor Rudy Juliano, UNC-CH Department of Pharmacology
The self study started with meetings of the faculty and current students; an anonymous survey of past and current trainees provided valuable insight about their research and other educational experiences. Our goal is to have the final self-study report describe accurately the status of our programs and a vision for the future that truly reflects the collective opinion of the Curriculum in Toxicology faculty and trainees.
