“Next Generation Risk Assessment: Recent Advances in Molecular, Computational, and Systems Biology” describes how new molecular, computational and systems biology data and approaches (together called “NexGen”) could better inform risk assessment. The final report put together by EPA’s National Center for Environmental Assessment describes results from a multiyear, multi-organization effort designed to summarize the state of the science and to provide a scientific foundation for modernizing risk assessment methodology. Among the studies summarized are several conducted by students, post-docs, and investigators affiliated with the Curriculum in Toxicology.
