Endourology Fellowship
UNC Urology will not be participating in the Endourological Society match in July 2012 for fellowship beginning July 2013.Fellowship Program StructureThe fellowship program in endourology is intended to train individuals who have completed urology residency for specialized careers in Urology. The goals of this fellowship are to provide an individual with more specialized training and research in the areas of laparoscopy, robotics, and endourology. The individual will see patients in a clinical setting and have a dedicated operating schedule. While most of the training will revolve around lapraoscopy and endourology, some additional general urology will be included. The fellow will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Laparoscopic Surgery. This is an Endourologic Society approved two-year fellowship program. ConferencesFellows will participate in conferences and seminars conducted within the University of North Carolina. They include weekly conferences in Urology, Uroradiology, Uropathology, Urology Grand Rounds, and Journal Club. Weekly participation in Multidisciplinary Conference. Fellows will also participate in the Urinary Course taught each December to 2nd year medical students and the annual Landes Symposium each June.
