UNC Residents Receive Awards at 11th Annual Urology Resident Symposium

The 11th Annual North Carolina Urology Resident Symposium was held Saturday, September 10, 2011, at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Residents from Duke University, Wake Forest University and the University of North Carolina participated in urologic debates and research presentations.  Joshua Langston, MD successfully presented his case for attempted endoscopic realignment in a male trauma patient diagnosed with complete disruption of posterior urethra, no major abdominal injuries, to receive first place in his debate.  J. Patrick Selph, MD successfully presented for surveillance for low risk stage one nonseminomatous germ cell tumor of the testis, normal markers pre- and post-orchiectomy,  to receive first place in his debate.

Congratulations to residents from all three urology programs, everyone presented outstanding debate views and research data.
