William Kim, MD, Receives 2014 Bladder Cancer Research Innovation Award


Dr. William Kim has been awarded the 2014 Bladder Cancer Research Innovation Award by the The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) to support the funding of his project "Immune Characterization of High-Grade Bladder Cancer." 

The award consists of a $300,000 two-year grant, intended to support exceptionally novel and creative projects with great potential to produce breakthroughs in the management of bladder cancer. 

Dr. Kim is an experienced researcher at UNC who investigates genetic influences on bladder cancer.  He is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Genetics, holds a secondary appointment with the Department of Urology, and is part of the Urologic Oncology program at UNC's Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
