On December 2, 2010, the Urology Resident Review Committee of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education approved UNC Urology’s request to increase their current placement of two residents per year to three residents per year effective June 24, 2011.

UNC’s Urology residency is a five-year program with the intern year spent in General Surgery program at UNC Hospitals and the remaining four years dedicated to urology specialization.

When the AUA Urology Resident Match takes place in January 2011, UNC Urology will be submitting a match list for 3 vacancies.
