In 2014, Doximity physician network, in collaboration with US News & World Report, announced their first-ever national evaluation of residency programs across 20 specialties. At that time, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Urology Residency was ranked 20th among Urology programs nationwide.

The second annual rankings were published this week, with the UNC-Chapel Hill program rising to #16.

Dr. Raj Pruthi, Professor and inaugural Chairman of the Department of Urology says,

“We are honored to see this growing appreciation of a reputation for excellence in the eyes of our fellow urologists. This recognition is a testament to the culture of collegiality and innovation that we strive to cultivate at UNC Urology. Our faculty has more than tripled in size over the past decade, but we have stayed true to our mission of excellence in research, teaching, and clinical care.”

We are proud to provide a comprehensive training experience, covering all aspects of urology in a diverse range of clinical practice settings.”
