J. Patrick Selph, MD

PGY5 Chief Resident

 

Patrick was born in Nashville, TN and grew up in the suburb of Franklin. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Biochemistry. After working for a year in the Center for Human Genetics Research at Vanderbilt University, he attended the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, graduating with highest honors and serving as President of the Honor Council. During residency, he served as co-president of the House Staff Council with his compatriot, Dr. Josh Langston. He also was among the first residents to be inducted into the UNC Academy of Educators. After graduation, he will enter a fellowship at Duke University in Genitourinary Cancer Survivorship. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing soccer, and listening to all forms of music.
