New Feature: Forms
Forms are now available with the Eclair version. The default form includes an email submit feature (your user fills out the form, presses submit, and the results are sent to a specified email). Other submit options are available but may require customization. If you are interested in creating a form, talk to your trainer or stop by the Multimedia Lab (67 MacNider) to get started.

Bug Fixes/Enhancements
- Events Default: Calendar view
- Issue: When a user clicked on "more events" (seen on the SOM homepage and similar events portlets), they were taken to an events listing. This was a common complaint amongst SOM users; the default events listing didn't list the events in a user-intuitive manner (rather than listing events by event date, the events were listed from oldest submitted to newest submitted).
- Solution: The "more events" link (seen on the SOM homepage and similar events portlets) will now send the user directly to the events directly to the events calendar.
- Event Details Table: Contact email
- Issue: On the events details page, long emails in the contact email field were expanding beyond the table borders
- Solution: Long emails are now contained in the table field.
- Event Date: Inconsistency with IE
- Issue: In Internet Explorer, events dates (on the events details page) would appear twice. The first version would spell out the month, the second would include a number for the date. (Ex: April 24, 2008 1:30pm April 24, 2008 2:30pm 2008-04-24 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm)
- Solution: To be consistent with the events dates in Firefox, we removed the first date listing.
- Folder View: Replacing icons with bullets
- Issue: The folder view displayed the icons of all content. This was inconsistent with other pages throughout the site.
- Solution: We removed all icons from the folder view and replaced them with bullets.
- Globe Icon
- Issues: The globe icon (signifying external SOM links) appeared inconsistently throughout the site. In the Danish release, this icon was also overlapping link text in some views.
- Solution: We removed the globe icon throughout the site (search results, folder view, page content).
- Headers and Paragraphs: More spacing
- Issue: We noticed many of you were adding extra spaces after headers and paragraphs.
- Solution: We added more padding to headers and paragraphs. Be sure to take a look at your site after the release -- you may want to correct any over spacing.
- Numbered Lists: Sub-ordered lists corrected
- Issue: Sub-numbered lists repeated numbers rather than the standard sub-numbered format.
Ex:
1. abc
1. abc - Solution: Now sub-numbered lists will include i.,ii., etc. rather than repeated numbers.
- Reordering Navigation, Folder Items
- Issue: The only way to change the order of the navigation and other folder items was by using the arrows in the order column of the contents view.
- Solution: We added a drag and drop feature in the contents view that makes reordering items in a folder much easier.
- Text Size Options
- Issue: The only way to increase text size was by using Headings.
- Solution: Added size options to the Style drop down menu (Small, Large, X-Large, etc.)
- Other minor tweaks...
- Fixed a few inconsistencies with the print stylesheet
- Subsites can now have their own browser titles
- If you have a subsite with a supersite title (ex: http://www.med.unc.edu/oed SuperSite: Offices of Medical Education; SubSite: Office of Educational Development), the supersite title will now be linked to the appropriate site.
- Search results radio buttons now look consistent in IE and Firefox
- On the Events form, "Show Event on Homepage" now reads "Show this event on the School of Medicine home page" and has additional styles. NOTE: This feature is still not working appropriately; we hope to have it working soon!
